Girls, you’ll move mountains: Last blog from Olivia & Allie
Our names are Olivia and Allie, and this is our first year at Keely’s Camp for Girls. We are both from New Hampshire: Manchester and Waterville Valley. (I, Allie, actually ski for the Snowbird ski team in Utah now!) We are fifteen and twelve. Today was our second day of GS training at Mt. Hood. Both of our favorite events are GS, so it was really fun to be able to train it! Having coaches that are as talented as the ones at Keely’s Camp makes us feel very special. We both have decided that we want to come back next year! We can’t wait to move more mountains.
Today was really fun. Starting with taking the access road and being above the clouds, to meeting Hannah Kearny (Gold Medalist in Moguls), a New Hampshire native that attended Waterville Valley Academy, the day was full of new experiences. Training was amazing- we all got at least six runs on the course today before heading home for lunch! The coaches gave us helpful pointers and helped us succeed throughout the day. Our last evening will end with going to a lake to build a campfire and eat s’mores. We can’t wait to share the last few adventures at this camp together. We don’t want to leave!
Extra from all the coaches at Keely’s Camp:
“So be sure when you step, Step with care and great tact. And remember that life’s A Great Balancing Act. And will you succeed? Yes! You will, indeed! (98 and ¾ percent guaranteed) Kid, you’ll move mountains.”
Believe in yourselves! We sure do!
Girls, you’ll move mountains. Thanks for working so hard.
