Session 2 Day 2: GS & Timothy Lake
Session 2 Day 2: GS & Timothy Lake!
Bloggers: Annaliese from WY & Stella from MT
After waking up at 5:40, we had a delicious breakfast of pancakes, bacon and fruit, before we made our way to the mountain for another day on GS skis. After waiting in long lift lines, we finally finished our warm-up runs, and made our way to the top of the lane.
We jumped into the courses at around 8:15, and trained in our groups until 10:30, when we stopped for our break. During our break the coaches Waddle, Hailey, Jess, Keely and KT had a very entertaining dance off, the winner undecided.
After our break, we continued, meaning once, to run the courses. We waited at the midway point of the Palmer lift for about 45 minutes while they figured out what was wrong with the lift, because it had broken down earlier that day, and then continued to the top of the lane were we ran the courses one more time.
For dry land we went down to Timothy Lake, and played capture the flag for around an hour and a half. We then walked down to the lake and all waded in, and some of us went swimming out into the middle of the lake, others waded in waist deep. We drove home, and tuned and waxed skis, had dinner, and we are now in the middle of free time, but will head up to our bunks soon. Overall this Tuesday on Hood has been great day, and hope that tomorrow is just as rad!
