Why Outdoor Leadership, Adventure, and Education are important for girls…

  • Enhanced self-esteem & confidence
  • Improved body image
  • Self-trust
  • Self-worth
  • Asseertiveness
  • Self-sufficiency
  • Independence
  • Problem solving & resourcefulness
  • Stress relief
  • Connection to nature
  • Greater sense of Community

“Those who pursue outdoor recreation demonstrate higher levels of self-esteem, self-trust, self-worth, assertiveness, self-sufficiency, independence, confidence, empowerment, and body image as well as a greater sense of community and stress relief through interaction with the natural environment [3,10,11,12]. The benefits outdoor recreation participation can offer to females paints a clear picture of the importance of not only exposing girls to the outdoors but in helping them build the skills to experience sustained participation in outdoor recreation.”

About Us

Keely’s Camp was founded in 2011 as the first ski racing camp for girls in North America. We believe every girl deserves a female coach and that girls need more opportunities and access to outdoor sports. We now host backcountry skiing, ski mountaineering, kayaking, adventure, and outdoor leadership camps for girls throughout the world.
